Nazione Lombarda is a political Association which, according to its Statute, has as its fundamental and general purpose the defense, recovery, and emancipation of the Granlombard identity.

The Association was founded in Bergamo, the heart of Great Lombardy, on December 23rd, 2024, by the Orobic Paolo Sizzi, the Sepriese Adalbert Roncari, and eight other Lombard and Lombardist comrades.

Our adventure, however, began long before that: between 2009 and 2010 the rational ethnonationalist Weltanschauung was developed which, applied to the ethnic and historical context of Lombardy, gave rise to what we call lombardesimo.

With the aim of better spreading the themes central to lombardesimo and uniting the identitarians who share them, the Movimento Nazionalista Lombardo was born in 2011.

While the Movimento Nazionalista Lombardo began its work of information and awareness-raising among ethnic Lombards, a fruitful internal debate developed, leading to the hypothesis of extending lombardesimo beyond the strictly ethno-linguistic territorial sphere to all lands that are historically Lombard—namely to Cisalpina in its entirety (the historical region bounded by the Alps to the north and the Lombard Apennines to the south). In the Middle Ages, in fact, the term “Lombardy” referred to the whole of what is commonly called “Upper Italy.”

In this sense, it is therefore useful to distinguish ethnic Lombardy (Piedmont, Insubria, Orobia, Emilia) from the historical Lombardy that we call Great Lombardy, which includes the Alpine-Padanian area unified by geography, climate, ethnocultural group, linguistic family, historical events, traditions, and society.

After realizing that “Movimento Nazionalista Lombardo” was frankly too long and not incisive enough, we decided it was necessary to launch a new entity that would place ethnic Lombardy at the center of its action while also not neglecting the Granlombard historical dimension—an entity with a name capable of immediately conveying this objective.

Thus, in 2013, we opted for Grande Lombardia, an Association that lasted a decade, through highs and lows, until it eventually came to a halt and, in the winter solstice period of 2024, finally merged into Nazione Lombarda, the definitive landing point of militant lombardesimo. The two entities remain deeply interconnected, but the final shift was necessary to formalize the Lombardist fellowship on a political-cultural level, energize the base, and affirm the validity of the pan-Lombard national concept, which embraces the entire Cisalpina—Great Lombardy, which is in fact the real Lombardy.

With the founding of Nazione Lombarda in Bergamo, following in the footsteps of MNL and GL (the latter founded in Pavia, the moral capital of the Padan-Alpine world), lombardesimo has thus found its natural place in what had become a clear idea, strengthened and consolidated over time: to extend its vision and action toward the eastern Granlombard sector, as well as toward Liguria and Romagna in their historical dimension.

We have made our decision: we have taken a stand, put ourselves on the line, and entered the field to fight to the very end against the poisons that are killing our Lombardy, which is not an artificial Italian region but a millennia-old nation, a link between the Mediterranean and Central-European worlds.

Here we speak not of fake Italy, Padania, Lombardo-Veneto, an enlarged Switzerland, or other nonsense, but of Lombardy in its ethnic, ethnolinguistic, and historical sense—the true and genuine Lombardy: Great Lombardy, the Lombard nation.

We Granlombards are part of a precise ethnic area that must be rediscovered, defended, promoted, and placed within a Europe restored to itself, animated by a true identitarian and traditionalist spirit capable of leading to the great Euro-Siberian imperial confederation—a real ethno-racial community of nations.

This is precisely what we Lombardists want: Lombards of Great Lombardy worthy of having, one day, a free and sovereign ethnostate that truly represents them, because they have freed themselves from the Ital-globalist mentality starting now.

Self-assertion is achieved step by step, with patience, passion, and perseverance, without swaggering or making promises that are inevitably broken. And there is something far more important to do before fighting fully, politically, for it: to become masters of ourselves again, of our identitarian consciousness. The freedom of the Lombard nation begins with the liberated spirit of the Cisalpines.
